Being a small and woman owned firm for over 24 years, Colt Safety, Fire & Rescue understands first hand that the playing field has not always been level.

We understand that promotion of a diverse supplier base generates customer loyalty, higher levels of service, better value and overall public support. In short, it just makes good business sense to partner with diversity companies.

In the early part of this new millennium we began a quest to prove the capacity of diversity companies and to offer partnerships with other small, woman owned, ethnic minority and service disabled American Veteran businesses.

Colt Safety, Fire & Rescue is first and foremost a quality managed warehouse distribution center centrally located in the United States. The added benefit to our clients who are committed to generating wealth through a complete chain of commerce is the fact that we are a 100% diversity company being woman owned and operated.

We have most recently formed a nationwide “coalition” of quality managed diversity companies for an Iraqi Reconstruction effort and are willing to share this expertise with any business committed to diversity inclusion.

Colt Safety, Fire & Rescue has been named one of the top 50 diversity companies in the state of Missouri in addition to being a civic-minded company. We have longevity and continuity planning in place for the future of this 24-year-old business.

In 2000, at the request of our largest client we implemented our first ever diversity initiative. When we began tracking our spends we learned that 5.4% of our dollars were being spent with diversity companies. Today, after actively seeking quality managed diversity companies with which to partner, we now boast that over 25% of our general and administrative dollars are spent with diversity companies.
